Since 2008, she has worked as the chief lobbyist for the Colorado Association of Commerce & Industry – the State’s Chamber of Commerce. This role involves managing the Chamber’s engagement on State and Federal legislative and regulatory issues, and serving as the spokesperson for the organization.

Furman previously served as the Legislative Director for the Colorado Department of Personnel and Administration and worked with the Governor’s Office and General Assembly on state workforce issues. In Jan. 2002 – Sept. 2005, She worked as a lobbyist for Floridian Partners on behalf of a variety of clients that included municipalities, businesses and trade associations with legislative, budget and regulatory interests. Prior to that role, Furman worked in the Majority Office of the Florida House of Representatives.

Furman has served on several Boards including:

  • Colorado Civil Justice League Board of Directors and Board Chair (2014);
  • Vital for Colorado Board of Directors;
  • Coloradoans for Responsible Energy Development Board of Directors;
  • Colorado Association of Professional Lobbyists Board of Directors;
  • Private sector Co-Chair of American Legislative Exchange Council (2013 & 2014).

Furman was named​ ​as one of ​Colorado’s Most Influential Women: Up and Coming by the​ Denver Post in 2012. ​She was also selected as a finalist in 2013, 2014 and 2015 for the Business Leader Power Book Award by the Denver Business Journal.

Furman ​holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Florida State University.
