We’ve spent years protecting the interests of individual businesses and industries across the state through drafting and modifying regulations, engaging and testifying at rulemaking hearings, and maintaining working relationships with agency heads and agency staff.

Political Engagement

We are actively engaged in the election process which results in the election of new members of the General Assembly every election cycle. It is important to develop those relationships early on and educate policy-makers on the interests of our clients. Loren Furman leads an extensive legislative candidate interview and endorsement process each election cycle. Through that process, she has met and interviewed hundreds of candidates at the onset of their legislative career and maintains those relationships for years thereafter. Finally, because we represent clients willing to issue campaign contributions during the interim, we are able to raise funds for both Democratic and Republican legislative candidates and build strong working relationships with these candidates.

Actively monitoring legislation each legislative session is an important function for determining whether a bill will impact our clients. We utilize existing electronic tracking systems as well as monitor legislative actions at the State Capitol during the normal course of the legislative Session and throughout the year.
